McDonalds Chilli Paneer Pockets Recipe

I love Spicy food well what do you expect I’m an Indian and I just don’t know why does McDonalds does this all the time they bring an amazing product to their menu and suddenly they discontinue it then again bring it back and again discontinue it, I mean what’s the deal with you McDonalds but still I loved chilli paneer pockets so here is the recipe for it J hope you enjoy it like I did…

 

INGREDIENTS TO MAKE DOUGH

 

NOTE: Please make the recipe with precise measurements otherwise the dough will not come 100% same…

 

INGREDIENTS FOR MAKING PASTRY DOUGH:

2 Cup All-Purpose Flour (Maida)

1 tsp. Salt

2 tsp. Baking Powder (leveled)

4 Tbsp. oil (Vegetable or olive oil)

½ Cup + 1/16th cup / 135 ml Cold Water

 

INGREDIENTS FOR MAKING STUFFING:

4 – 5 Spring Onions Finely Chopped

1 Mid – Size Carrot Diced

½ Mid Size Capsicum Diced

200 Gms Paneer / Cottage Cheese

1.5 Inch Ginger Diced

1 tsp Ginger Garlic Paste

*Chilli Sauce Mix

1 Tsp Parsley

½ – ¾ tsp Salt ( or as per your taste)

½ tsp White Pepper Powder

½ tsp M.S.G (Monosodium Glutamate) / Ajinomoto

 

 

*INGREDIENTS TO MAKE SAUCE MIX:

 

1/3 Cup Water

2 Tbsp Green Chilli Sauce ( add ½ tsp more to make it spicy)

1 tsp Soy Sauce

1 – 2 tsp Vinegar

½ tsp Corn Starch

 

INSTRUCTIONS TO MAKE THE RECIPE:

 

IMPORTANT POINTS:

 

  • Make sure to chop the vegetable very fine otherwise the pockets can burst and break
  • Make sure to rest the dough 30 minz before using it
  • Don’t roll the dough too thin
  • Make sure to incorporate the oil thoroughly with the flour
  • Let the pockets rest for 10 minz before frying
  • Donot cook on a high flame
