Its been months that people have asked me to make a video on Indian white gravy, how it is made? What all is added??
So here my first entry for the white gravy i.e. CREAM CHICKEN its actually a very simple recipe and very useful when you have guests coming over as it doesn’t take much time and you get great results , So I hope you like this recipe…

INGREDIENTS TO MAKE THE RECIPE:
INGREDIENTS TO MARINATE
500 – 600 Gms Chicken
2 Tbsp Oil
1 Cup Thick Curd
3/4 tsp Salt (or as per taste)
3/4 tsp Black Pepper
1 Tbsp Ginger Garlic Paste
2 -3 Tbsp Roasted Gram Flour (Depending on the moisture in the curd)
INGREDIENTS FOR WHITE BASE GRAVY
15 – 20 Cashews Paste
3 – 4 Green Chillies
1 Inch Ginger (Cut into juliennes)
*WHOLE SPICE MIX
3 – 4 Mid-Size Onion Puree
2 Tbsp Oil
1 Tbsp Butter
80 – 100 Gms Khoa/ khoya / Mawa
2 tsp Ginger Garlic Paste
½ Cup Water (added while making gravy)
¾ Cup Water (added in the end)
1 tsp Kasturi Meethi
2 Tbsp Fresh Cream
*WHOLE SPICE MIX COMBINATION
1 Badi Elachi / Black Cardamom
1 Dal Chini / Cinnamon Stick
3 Green Cardamom / Choti Elachi
4 Laung / Cloves
INSTRUCTIONS TO MAKE THE RECIPE
IMPORTANT POINTS
- Make sure to make gashes in the chicken
- Let the marinated chicken rest in the refrigerator for about 1 hour
- Cook the chicken first on a high flame the when it turns white cover with the lid and cook for 10 minutes PLEASE do not open the lid ..
